TORONADO TH425 TRANSAXLE (ALSO FITS TH 325 AND TURBO 350/400 TRANS)
The Toronado 425 transaxle is very strong, very heavy and economical automatic
transaxle meant to handle the torque of a performance V8.
Aluminum Buick V8 to Toronado or Turbo 350/400 and Powerglide.
The '61-'63 Buick-Olds 215 V8 did not
come with a good transmission. Using our adapter, you can fit a reliable Turbo
trans to the engine. It also fits Powerglide if you specify when ordering. If
for a Turbo 400, the 350 converter must be used. Comes with a modified
flexplate. A Buick flexplate core is required.
PANTERA & MONGUSTA ZF TRANSAXLE
The ZF transaxle was designed to handle a V8. It has the advantage of already
being a mid-engine transaxle with gearing suitable for a V8.
Our Chevy V6, V8 or Buick V6, to ZF adapter is a 4½" thick heavy duty aluminum bellhousing made to house the Chevy/Buick flywheel, clutch and starter. It comes with a pilot bearing, clutch release bearing, bolts and installation instructions. Some machining of the release bearing collar is required. NOTE: That all bellhousings can be made inverted if specified when ordered.

'85+). The Mazda flywheel, clutch, starter and throwout bearing are retained. A
Ford disc must be used. The T-5 transmission that is normally slanted 18º must
now be mounted vertical.

Manual kit includes the adapter plate made of aluminum plate, a custom made steel flywheel, pilot bearing, starter adapter when needed and all the necessary bolts to fit the engine to the transaxle.
Automatic kit includes the same adapter plate, a custom made flexplate, torque converter locating ring, starter adapter when needed and all the necessary bolts to fit the engine to the transaxle. We do not provide the torque converter bolts. Customer needs to specify 3 or 4 bolt pattern on the torque converter when ordering.
